The PC version of Need For Speed has been delayed to spring 2016, Ghost Games has announced. The game is still on track for release this November on PS4 and Xbox One.
The delay will offer the developer “the necessary development time” to deliver increased visuals that takes advantage of PC hardware, and include support for an unlocked frame rate. Content updates that have previously been released on console will also be available on PC from day one.
Previous PC versions of earlier Need For Speed titles have been criticised by the community for EA’s decision to cap them at 30fps, rather than provide an unlocked frame rate.
A closed beta for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Need For Speed will take place in “the coming weeks”, Ghost says.
