Players can register for the beta now on the game’s official website, with sign-ups open until Friday, September 25. After then you’ll no longer be able to register, so do it now if you want in.

Applicants are able to register on both platforms, although it isn’t yet clear how many players will be invited in to the beta or when it’s due to begin [UPDATE: The beta will begin “in the coming weeks”, according to an update from Ghost.] EA says that space is limited, however, and that it “may not be able to accept all players who register”.

The test does not seem to be available on PC.

Ghost Games says that the beta will let it “perform a number of technical tests” to help “prepare for launch”, although quite what will be on offer has yet to be confirmed.

Need For Speed launches on November 5 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
