NBA 2K23’s Season 4 has arrived! The new season went live today, January 13th, at 11AM ET / 4PM GMT. And fans across the community can finally soak in all of the new features and content now at their disposal.

The NBA 2022-23 season has surpassed the midway mark. And to celebrate the second half of the season, along with a highly-anticipated All-Star Weekend in February, NBA 2K23 made sure to provide its community with a rich set of new rewards and items, as well as implement a variety of key changes across the game as well.

The adjustments and new features NBA 2K23 introduced with Season 4 are vast, and touch up on a handful of different modes and areas. But not to worry! We’re here to help fill you in on all you need to know regarding the new season and shed light on the key aspects worth keeping an eye out for.

New Eras Quick Play

One significant new change that is now available for next-gen users on NBA 2K23, is that of the new Eras Quick Play mode. This is huge! Though it only caters to next-gen players, this was a key aspect of the ‘Play Now’ menu that was missing since launch, and was a much-needed addition.

If you’re just looking to get in a game with any two teams you can pick from either of the available eras, be it the Magic vs Bird, Jordan, or Kobe eras, this mode will be just for you and delivers all of the era-specific broadcast elements and video filters that make it come to life in a meaningful way.

MyCAREER

One of the fun parts about NBA 2K23’s MyCAREER mode, is grinding through the new season’s rewards ladder to reap all the awesome new cosmetics and prizes you can receive to finesse your player as well as your experience in The City or on The G.O.A.T. Boat.

Prior to reaching the Level 40 prize, some of the easier Season 4 rewards you will be able to unlock include a SciFi Armor, a Pilot Helmet, and a snazzy new GoKart decorated with flames.

That said, the ultimate Level 40 prize that is arguably a must-have in NBA 2K23 MyCAREER for both The City and The G.O.A.T. Boat, is the remote-control drone fast-travel ability. That’s right! Players will now be able to fly around their environment using the drone as a vehicle to fly to a spot they want to teleport to. Once they select their destination, players will be able to relocate to that very spot just like that.

The new Level 40 prize for Season 4 on NBA 2K23 MyTEAM is a 97 Overall Galaxy Opal of Chicago Bulls shooting guard, Zach LaVine. Securing his card will require you to complete a variety of Season 4 agendas to garner the XP to reach Level 40.

LaVine will also come with a new Signature Challenge in MyTEAM as well. To clarify, the challenge entails of you taking on him and his hand-picked all-time Bulls team (Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah). Should you defeat LaVine and his squad, you will be rewarded with some great prizes, including a Hall of Fame Badge and Diamond Shoe Colorway.

While you plug away with the new season, NBA 2K23 decided to provided fans a 95 overall DeMar DeRozan Free Agent card to assist with that process, which they’ll be able to secure just by entering the Season 4 menu in MyTEAM.

Lastly, NBA 2K23 is set to release three two-week events during Season 4, which will entail of agendas, challenges, and locker codes in order to secure a Galaxy Opal player card corresponding with the event. The first of the three events began with Season 4’s launch, and is called the Lunar New Year Event. If you earn all 10 Takeover Cards and the 5 Event cards of this event, you can unlock a Galaxy Opal Yi Jianlian card.

The W Online

Although the holidays are in the rearview mirror, NBA 2K23 has still come baring plenty of rewards for The W Online in Season 4, including Logo Cards, clothing bundles, and more.

With several WNBA jerseys already available to secure in the game, Season 4 has come with some more, including Atlanta Dream’s Erica Wheeler, LA Sparks’ Nneka Ogwumike, and Indiana Fever duo Tiffany Mitchell and Kelsey Mitchell’s jerseys into NBA 2K23 as well.
