The NBA regular season is now only a week away. In anticipation to the start of an exciting season of NBA basketball, NBA 2K23 released another ‘Shades Of’ pack for its MyTEAM community and its decorated with a great set of rookies and stars alike.

Every Shades Of pack is unique, presenting a new collection of rookie evolve cards to go along with three NBA stars (former or current) that they resemble, or carry ‘shades of’ in their game. All three rookie evolve cards have the ability to become Diamonds, while the three NBA stars consist of all 91+ overall ratings.

To go along with their new drop, NBA 2K23 also provided a three-part challenge that will grant you a chance to earn a free Shades Of 5 pack that could contain one of the desired new players you’re after.

NBA Stars

  1. Joe Johnson (SG/SF) – 95 Overall Pink Diamond Card
  2. Latrell Sprewell (SG/SF) – 93 Overall Diamond Card
  3. Bol Bol (C) – 91 Amethyst Card

NBA 2K23: Shades Of 5 Challenges

Should you be interested in earning a free Shades Of 5 pack and additional rewards, NBA 2K23 MyTEAM provided a three-part challenge to go with their drop to fulfill that need.

Each challenge gets progressively more difficult and comes with in-game tasks you need to complete when attempting each part.

Here’s what you’ll need to do:

Bol Bol – Part 1

  1. Play Triple Threat game to 21 points on semi-pro
  2. Win the game

Latrell Sprewell – Part 2

  1. Play Triple Threat game to 40 points on pro
  2. Win the game and score 20 points with a player

Joe Johnson – Part 3

  1. Play Triple Threat game to 60 points on all-star
  2. Win the game and score 40 points with a player
