2K has offered up fans a look at the new features for the MyNBA and The City game modes in the new-gen versions of NBA 2K22 ahead of its launch on Friday.

A big change will be the addition of MyStaff. This will allow a whole new range of options for the people off the court that keep your team ticking over. You’ll have to fill the Front Office, Coaching, Scouting and Sports Medicine departments. If stats balancing is a little tricky, don’t worry – there’ll be a general evaluation of the departments so you can spot the flaws in your staff.

The latest Courtside Report also goes into detail on other new features, which include improvements to team and player training. There’s a new Prep Hub that will allow you to adjust team training and fatigue and a new Condition Coaching option to focus on certain areas when simulating games.

Meanwhile, there’s also improvements to The City mode and MyCareer. You’ll be able to take on City Quests that include solo challenges to take on and help your off-court career. There’s also the ability to upgrade your crib as you play, allowing you to even have your own penthouse apartment. There’s also new ways to travel around the city, including go karts, inline skates and more.

You can check out a video detailing these new features below. NBA 2K22 is set to launch this Friday, September 10 on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. It’ll also be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
