The latest midseason update for MW2 has introduced several welcome features so far, such as the additions of a new map and a 10v10 mode. Unfortunately, the popularity of these latest introductions has overshadowed another particularly useful change to the game’s system.

According to the latest CoD blog post, Infinity Ward and Raven Software are now set to introduce party queuing systems to various in-game modes. If you want to know exactly what this means for MW2’s social aspect, then we’ve covered all you’ll need to know below.

What is Party Queuing in MW2 & Warzone 2?

Party queuing essentially allows players to join their friends or in-game teammates even if they’re in an ongoing match. As soon as the match is done, those that used the party queuing system will automatically enter their friend’s lobby.

This will make the experience of forming parties much more seamless as players will no longer need to leave a match just to join up with their squad. This new feature is also accessible in both multiplayer and battle royale, making it much easier to find matches in both modes.

Based on further statements from the developers, party queuing can simply be accessed through the in-game social menu. You can also apparently use the voice and text chat with those currently playing in a match so you’ll immediately be able to know when the whole squad is complete.

Keep in mind, though, that this feature won’t work if the number of members you have exceeds the match’s maximum party count. For instance, you and your team won’t be able to run Battle Royale Quads if there are currently five operators in your group.
