Decoy grenades themselves are pretty effective, and work by creating a noise to lead enemy soldiers to it. It also causes a red dot to appear on the map, which moves as the grenade rolls and bounces.

The decoy grenade trick works in team-based modes, so we recommend sticking to Team Deathmatch where there are high numbers of kills and lots of opportunities to use this trick.

• Make sure you have decoy grenades equipped in your loadout
• Load up Team Deathmatch
• When you see a firefight, chuck a decoy grenade into the middle of it – or in action areas where one is about to go down
• Any kills that happen will reward you with passive weapon XP
