Capcom senior director of communications, Chris Kramer, has confirmed that Xbox LIVE Arcade versions of both Super Street Fighter II HD Remix and Bionic Commando: Rearmed will have “complete feature and graphical parity” with versions to be released on other platforms.

There had been some concern that file size restrictions for Xbox LIVE Arcade put in place by Microsoft would prevent the XBLA versions from featuring the same high resolution art found in the PS3 games, but some Microsoft approved rule breaking has ensured there are no such problems.

“Given the huge amount of content going into Bionic Commando Rearmed and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (turns out, hand-drawn art takes up a lot of space at 1080p!), Microsoft has allowed Capcom to work with a larger file size limit for both games,” explained Kramer.

However, Kramer notes this does not mean Microsoft has increased the file size limit for XBLA titles.

“Microsoft has told us that their partners have been very happy with the file size for Xbox LIVE Arcade titles, and they do not see a need to change their policies anytime soon,” said Kramer. “… if a game warrants a file size exception, they’ll provide one on a case-by-case basis.”
