Mortal Kombat, the series reboot from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios, will now be released in the UK on April 21, the publisher has announced.

The new date means Warner can no longer use the previous press-friendly term “Mortal Monday”. Had it not been for the Friday bank holiday on April 22, the publisher could have gone with “Fatality Friday”.

While still releasing in the same week as before, Mortal Kombat now arrives on exactly the same day as Valve’s Portal 2 and Codemasters’ Operation Flashpoint: Red River.
