The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that MMO Monster Hunter Frontier for the Xbox 360 will be released in Japan on June 24.

For the first two weeks, running until July 7, the game will be in open beta, with players able to play for free. To continue after this date gamers will need to pay a monthly fee, but open beta players will be able to retain their character and items.

Capcom hasn’t said that the game won’t be released in North America and Europe, but hasn’t confirmed a release either. Our money is on it never happening, but the sales of Wii exclusive Monster Hunter Tri, released in Europe on April 23, may help the publisher make its mind up.
