Monolith Productions has announced the winner of its Name Your Fear competition, opting for Project Origin over other suggestions which included Little Miss Bloodshine, Bloody Carousel and Mouth Breathing Bottom Feeders.

Our team really enjoyed letting the fans drive the naming process, and we are excited to expand upon the work we began in the original game and establish Project Origin as a premier gaming franchise in its own right,” said Troy Skinner, Producer, Monolith Productions.

If you’re wondering why Monolith doesn’t just use F.E.A.R. 2, that’s because the F.E.A.R. name is owned by Vivendi – the original publisher of the game – whereas Monolith is now owned by Warner Bros. This peculiar arrangement also gives Monolith the rights to use the characters from the original F.E.A.R.
