Peter Molyneux’s next project will be ready to show “some time early next year”, the Lionhead boss has confirmed.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com in the third part of our giant interview with the industry legend, due to be published later this week, the brains behind upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive RPG Fable II described the game as “incredibly amazing”.

Last month Molyneux told MTV Multiplayer that his next game was “a single, pure thought and so simple that it’s actually far more terrifying…”

And he told Gamesindustry.biz that the game was “ridiculously ambitious in a very simple way,” and “very, very different to anything I’ve done before”.

When asked by VideoGamer.com if he could elaborate on what he’s already said on his new game, the typically excitable Molyneux replied: “I can’t. I got enormously told off for just saying that. I can’t really say anything more. If it was up to me I would tell you all about it. But don’t forget my rule now is I won’t talk about something unless I can actually show it, and I can’t quite show it to you yet. It should be ready some time early next year to show off. It is pretty amazing. Well it is incredibly amazing, actually. I was just demoing it just before this call to someone, but it is just incredible.”

Fable II is due out on October 24. You can check out the first part of our interview with Peter Molyneux here, and the second part here. Stay tuned for the third part, where Peter answers questions from VideoGamer.com readers!
