Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux has revealed he wasn’t overly concerned when he saw his latest title reduced to half its RRP only weeks after the game first hit stores.

UK video game retailer GameStation recently offered Fable II for only £19.57, but Molyneux noted that it’s not just his game being reduced this winter.

“It’s hard to see any products that aren’t being discounted and it seems like retailers in this country are focusing on different products every week,” Molyneux told GamesIndustry.biz.

“Any way that more people can play it, the better,” said Molyneux. “Normally I’d feel quite emotional about that, but at the moment I just think it’s a reflection of where we are when people will struggle to spend any money at Christmas at the moment.”
