The release of Modern Warfare 2 Season 4 Reloaded is predictably bringing in a number of features, the most prominent of which is its collaboration with infamously controversial fictional TV series, The Boys. But even though the long-awaited crossover brings a new and exciting element in to an increasingly stale CoD installment, it seems that some within the player base still aren’t pleased as one of the new themed goodies that’s set to be introduced will apparently only be available in Warzone.

As part of MW2’s The Boys collaboration, Activision has announced that a new Field Upgrade called Temp V is going to be introduced with the arrival of Season 4 Reloaded. Similar to other Field Upgrades, Temp V grants players with valuable, game-altering perks that can help you win a match when used at the right time. What sets it apart from its counterparts, however, is the fact that it can randomly give you one of four different superpowers that will undoubtedly have other operators begging for mercy.

The powers you’ll have a chance to get by activating Temp V include Charge Jump, Electric Shockwave, Laser Vision, and Teleport, all of which are exactly what their names imply. Of course, if you die before you get a chance to use this Field Upgrade, you’ll inevitably lose it along with any chance you had of winning the match entirely since you’ve essentially given another player a golden ticket to a battle royale victory.

As mentioned before, though, its exclusivity to Warzone has made some players quite disgruntled as this unique feature has somehow made its way into the game’s free battle royale offering but not the premium base game. Over on Reddit, one user even created a post expressing their frustration by saying: “So multiplayer of course does not get to experience Temp V from The Boys.”

“And if I’m not mistaken here, to experience anything from The Boys in MWII multiplayer, you gotta pay [for] it, like for the operators/skins,” they continued. A commenter named Bravo-Warpig shared the post creator’s exasperation by simply stating: “The mode we paid? Of course not.”

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like this Field Upgrade along with the superpowers it can grant are going to become available in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer modes any time soon since it may ruin the casual experience entirely. However, this may just be for the best because, as Starlight once said, “you don’t need powers, you just need to be human.”
