With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 4 kicking off many players have noted their love for the addition of a small quality-of-life note that pops up upon death to let players know how many enemy players were attacking them.

Taking to the Modern Warfare 2 Reddit, user deathdude01 posted some appreciation for the added feature saying, “Maybe I missed this in the s4 patch notes, but when multiple people reduce your health and you die, this message pops up telling you how many people shot you. I think it’s a cool addition and will help reduce the ‘How did I die so fast?!’ complaints.”

Players were also quick to theorize about what funny interactions might occur now that players get a more descript reason as to how they died. “I can hear my buddy switching from “he’s hacking!” To “they’re hacking!” already lol,” said TheRamblingWanderer while another user noted that players may now start saying, “You double-teamed me!!”

Other users such as lemmiwinks316 also noted they liked the addition saying, “Yeah, I caught it playing MP yesterday. Pretty cool!” Another player also said, “It’s a cool feature, makes you less sad when you die. Or more sad, when you die and you don’t get this popup.” There were some players such as ThatGuy21134 that wished there was an option to turn the feature off as other users like eXistentialMisan noted they didn’t fully “get the increasing amount of visual and audio feedback we get now.”

However, for the most part, players are happy with this new addition which will likely lead to more players understanding where they fell short in gunfights or maybe it’ll just lead to more players complaining about how they somehow died. With the current sentiment towards MW2 from its own community, we suspect the latter.

The Modern Warfare 2 community also recently mourned the removal of Shipment 24/7 and some wish that the game “was like Fortnite” as the latest batch of bundles underwhelm.
