Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 weapons list

The Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 weapons list features the return of a specific sniper rifle that may be familiar to veterans of the CoD series. However, you shouldn’t ignore the rest of the firearms included with the update since they all have their own unique strengths as well.

As mentioned before, the most significant weapon that the developers have included with the Season 3 update is the FJX Imperium, better known as the Intervention sniper rifle to CoD veterans. Now that it’s back, you’ll be able to bring the pain all over again from a safe distance.

• FJX Imperium Sniper Rifle
  • Better known as the Intervention sniper rifle, this long-ranged messenger of death was first introduced in the original Modern Warfare 2 entry back in 2009. Much like any sniper rifle, this one similarly packs a punch, especially since the designers have equipped it with “hard-hitting .408 rounds.” You’ll be able to acquire this gun by simply progressing through the seasonal battle pass.

• Cronen Squall Battle Rifle
  • The Cronen Squall is a semi-automatic battle rifle that is as equally as the previously mentioned weapon. Though it’s often more suited for long-ranged gunfights, you can also use it at close-range in a pinch due to its decent rate of fire. Similar to the Intervention sniper rifle, you’ll also be able to obtain the Cronen Squall from the battle pass.

• Additional Armaments (In-Season)
  • The developers have promised to introduce two more sidearms at some point in the season, and both will apparently be “fully automatic with drastically different roles.” One will be a “customizable machine pistol with a fast rate of fire,” while the other will be a “high-caliber pistol modified for full-auto.”

The four guns mentioned above completes the Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 weapons list. Though it seems to be a smaller list compared to past seasons, Infinity Ward and Raven Software may eventually introduce more as we progress through the season.
