Microsoft will reveal a new Windows 8 tablet to rival the iPad on Monday, a source has told The Wrap.
The secretive device will run Windows RT, a tablet-specific version of Windows 8 with its own Windows Store – similar to how iOS devices use the App Store.
It also seems likely that the new tablet will be heavily involved in Microsoft’s roll-out of supportive screen technology SmartGlass, set to launch this autumn.
The reveal is expected to take place at 11.30pm BST, Monday, June 18.
