GAME has announced that Microsoft will be a headline sponsor of its GAMEfest consumer event, taking place from September 16-18 at the NEC Birmingham. Microsoft will get branding across the entire event, from registration to the final goodbye.
Of more interest to gamers attending is news that Microsoft games will be playable at the event, with Gears of War 3 being the headline act ahead of its September 20 UK release.
“We are delighted to show our support for GAMEfest 2011 and to give customers the opportunity to try out some of the new exciting games and entertainment experiences that we’re launching this year,” said Stephen McGill, director, Xbox & Entertainment, Retail Sales & Marketing.
The rest of Microsoft’s line-up is yet to be revealed.
Gears of War 3 is a big title, one of the biggest of 2011, but will its draw be so big just days before it’s on sale in UK stores? Gamers will be hoping Microsoft shows off a few more titles, including some that will be unveiled at E3 next month.
