Konami has set November as its target for the release of Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, the franchise’s first outing for the 3DS.
Previously the publisher had confirmed the game’s release for spring in Japan, but no official date was announced.
The November target places the game in the lucrative holiday shopping period.
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3DS is a full 3D reworking of the commercially and critically successful 2005 original for PS2.

A winter release is likely to help drive sales of the 3DS throughout Christmas, but given the current lacklustre line-up it’s slightly disheartening to have to wait even longer for what could be a quality title.
