The digital and retail versions of Metro Redux will ship with separate achievement lists, according to a report on achievement experts xboxachievements.com, meaning fans can stack up both versions to earn a total of 4000 Gamerscore points.

2000G will be available to unlock on the disc release of Metro Redux, with a further 2000G split across the digital versions of Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux.

Buy both the retail and digital version and you’ll allegedly be able to unlock 4000G in total.

The reason for the stack appears to be linked to the digital versions of 2033 Redux and Last Light Redux being available to download separately, therefore featuring 1000G each.

It isn’t known whether the PS4 release will also let players double up on trophies.

Metro Redux is the first Xbox One title to feature achievement lists separated by digital and retail releases. The game launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC next Friday, August 29.
