The Metal Gear Solid movie may finally be gaining momentum at Sony after the studio reportedly held talks with The Kings Of Summer helmer Jordan Vogt-Roberts to chair the Solid Snake picture.

It's believed the project has been in gestation for some time because Sony and Metal Gear Solid creators Kojima Productions couldn't agree on how to tell the story of the iconic soldier.

How successfully the convoluted story of Metal Gear Solid will make the transition to the big screen remains to be seen. That's if the movie even makes it into production, given that it could easily follow in the footsteps of canned attempts to bring Halo and Bioshock to cinema screens.
