Hideo Kojima has been teasing Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on Vita again, this time revealing that the game will feature rear touch functionality.

According to Andriasang, new voice over work has had to be recorded to introduce the rear touch controls. One line reads: “If you flick the rear touch pad, you can slice the enemy’s throat.”

Kojima also said that in first-person mode you can pinch out left and right to stretch, although it’s not clear what this means.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on PS Vita is currently without a release date. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version is out now, and scored very highly in our Metal Gear Solid HD Collection review.

PS Vita launches in the UK on February 22 – Amazon currently has the best pre-order deal, which includes a free 8GB memory card and the option to buy a launch game for £15.
