The highly anticipated and delayed Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be playable at E3 2012, according to a feature on the game in Famitsu (reported by Andriasang. E3 2012 takes place in June.

Famitsu’s article also looked at how Platinum Games took over development of Rising, with Hideo Kojima, Platinum Games CEO Tatsuya Minami, and Platinum Games producer Atsushi Inaba all pitching in.

According to Kojima an initial offer was made to Platinum Games, but it wasn’t until a year later that a deal was done.

“Even though we were serious, we didn’t get a response, so we asked a second time one year later,” said Kojima.

While stealth was a key component of Rising’s original concept, this was the first thing Platinum removed. Kojima also admitted that his staff didn’t think stealth and high-speed action worked well with one another.
