LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule would love Sackboy to “still be around in another 20 or 30 years,” according to comments made in an interview with Eurogamer.

Speaking to the site, Media Molecule co-founder and technical director David Smith gave his thoughts on the three-game strong series continuing in the future.

“I see no reason why it couldn’t. We have a pretty strong character and a very interesting physical craft-based world,” stated Smith. “There’s any number of stories that would be interesting to tell there. I’d love Sackboy to still be around in another 20 or 30 years.”

LittleBigPlanet 2, the second game to arrive on the PS3, is in stores now. We awarded the game an impressive 9/10 in our review earlier this month.
