Dead By Daylight is a fantastic multiplayer horror experience, and one of the keys to its success has been collaborations with many iconic horror IPs. This year we’ve been treated to crossovers with Tomb Raider, Dungeons and Dragons, and CastleVania, and in Year 10 we are set to get the biggest crossover yet. While the community has their own wishlist of dream collaborations, the developers of a massive horror game have officially declared they would love a DBD chapter, too.
There is a lot for Dead By Daylight fans to anticipate between now and the end of Year 9. Next week we are set to get the arrival of mid-Chapter 33.5 and this year’s Halloween event, Haunted By Daylight. Leaks have possibly revealed a female killer for Chapter 34, and fans believe the final licensed killer of Year 9 could be Kayako from The Grudge.
While all of the above is no doubt exciting, a lot of fans have their eyes set on Year 10. The only confirmed crossover for Year 10 so far is FNAF, but Red Barrells has now declared they would love a collaboration between DBD and Outlast.
Red Barrels “would love” Dead By Daylight x Outlast chapter
Red Barrels recently conducted an AMA for Outlast Trials. All of the answers have been shared onto exputer forums, and there is a lot of interesting discussions for fans of the game.
One of the questions asked “Would Red Barrels ever consider collaborating with BeHaviour Interactive to get their own Outlast chapter in Dead By Daylight?”. The developer provided the following response:
“We would love to collaborate with BeHaviour on DxD, it seems like a natural partnership – like peanut butter and jelly. We’ve reached out a few times… the ball is in their court”.
Judging by this response, fans shouldn’t expect a collaboration with Outlast for Year 10. However, it’s interesting to know that Red Barrels have reached out for a partnership in the past.
If we were to get a Dead By Daylight x Outlast Trials Chapter, there is potential for a map, survivor, and killer. Arguably the most exciting candidate for a killer from Outlast Trials is Mother Gooseberry, but you could also have either Franco Barbi or Leland Coyle. The survivor could just be a generic Reagant, meanwhile, the map would be based on the creative and deadly madhouse created by Red Barrels.
Outlast Trials is a fantastic multiplayer horror game in its own right, so it would be interesting to see it partner with Dead By Daylight. However, nothing is happening as of writing. All we know about Year 10 is a crossover with FNAF, but a leaker has suggested there are plans for The Walking Dead.
