Dead By Daylight has had a fantastic year in regard to collaborations. We’ve had Alan Wake and Tomb Raider as survivors, and we’ve also had a crossover with Dungeons and Dragons, and CastleVania is still set to arrive. Dracula is coming as a new DBD killer, and he is the last licensed baddie for 2024. The next crossover is scheduled for March 2025, and DBD fans are guessing the next licensed killer following clues from a “reputable leaker”.

While the first half of 2024 has been brilliant, Dead By Daylight fans have plenty to look forward to for the remainder of the year. The CastleVania chapter is coming out on August 27th, and BeHaviour has revealed perks for Dracula, along with perks for Trevor Belmont. Once CastleVania is out, we then have the release date for The Casting of Frank Stone on September 3rd.

All of the above is exciting, but fans are always looking beyond the near future. The licensed killer for March 2025 has been interesting from day one due to the fact it’s part of a paragraph. The identity of this killer hasn’t been revealed, but a DBD leaker has shared clues.

Dead By Daylight killer clues for March 2025

As shared on the LeaksDBD subreddit, “reputable leaker,” Ruthless, has shared hints about the March 2025 chapter starring the next licensed Dead By Daylight killer. According to Ruthless, the killer is from a movie that was released after 2000, and “It’s more popular in an eastern country”.

The clues are very vague, but it has Dead By Daylight fans thinking. While vague, fans think that the licensed killer could be Kayako from Ju-On/The Grudge.

As per Reddit user, HenryTheGoat173, “the chapter will be released in March 2025, and the first Ju-On movie (Ju-On: The Curse) was released in February-March 2000, and in 2025 it will be turning 25 years old”.

In addition, the phrasing “It’s more popular in an eastern country” could be another clue to Ju-On as it’s massive in Japan, and the western adaptation, The Grudge, was released in 2004.

Kayako is the only strong speculation from the above clues, and it would be a great addition following on from Sadako/Samara from Ringu. They are both different despite similar appearances, and there is a lot of unique skills BeHaviour could implement with Kayako.

In addition to Ruthless, other leakers part of the LeaksDBD Discord have categorically said it is not Jason from Friday the 13th, nor is it the Predator.

Again, this licensed killer will come out in March 2025 as part of a paragraph meaning there will not be a survivor nor will there be a map.
