DBD leaker claims female killer lore scrapped for Chapter 34

Dead By Daylight has a lot of collaborations with iconic horror IPs, but BeHaviour Interactive has also implemented many fantastic original baddies and goodies. The last licensed crossover for 2024 has arrived in the form of CastleVania, and the year is set to end with an original chapter. Unfortunately, following rumors that surfaced earlier this year, a DBD leaker now claims the lore of a female bounty hunter killer was scrapped for Chapter 34.

DBD fans have an exciting remainder of the year planned. We have just been treated to the excellent The Casting of Frank Stone, and the September 2024 roadmap has the return of Lights Out scheduled for September 12th. In addition, a PTB will arrive very soon, and this will see the return of the Finisher Mori system before it comes back for everyone in October.

While the details for this month are official, there is no concrete news about Chapter 34 yet other than it will have a killer, survivor, and new map. It was previously believed we were getting a female bounty hunter with a dog, but it’s now reported the lore was scrapped by BeHaviour Interactive.

Dead By Daylight leaker, Ruthless, has just claimed that the “controversial lore” of a leaked female bounty hunter killer arriving in December was scrapped.

You can check out their Twitter thread to see the supposed lore that was attached to the alleged killer. Another user replied, “Oh so it was scrapped fully? I only got told the dog element of the power was cut,” to which Ruthless clarified, “The lore got scrapped, the dog element was changed”.

Although no name had surfaced online, leaks suggested the original killer for Dead By Daylight Chapter 34 was going to be a female bounty hunter with a dog companion. The original source of this leak can’t be found online, but, according to the leaksDBD subreddit, it was backed by reputable leakers, Ruthless and Dvveet.

Responding to comments about the female bounty hunter killer on August 17th, Ruthless replied “It is” in response to a user asking, “Is a bounty hunter killer still happening”. While Ruthless claimed the bounty hunter femme fatale was still planned for December, he also claimed “It’s been a changed a lot though”. There was no elaboration on what was changed, but he has now stated the lore and dog companion.

It’s unclear whether we are getting a female killer for December or not. There hasn’t been a female killer in 2024, so there is the possibility seeing as there has been one every year since 2021. In 2021 there was The Artist, in 2022 there was Sadako, and in 2023 there was The Skull Merchant.

If we do not get a female killer as previously rumored, fans believe The Casting of Frank Stone has revealed the killer that could be joining in Chapter 34. As per the year 9 roadmap, Chapter 34 is set to come out in December, and it will also feature a new survivor and new map.
