Season 3 of Marvel Rivals is ready to be released! NetEase activated the early access version last Friday, allowing select content creators to test it out. Now, we are just a couple of days away from the new season dropping on live servers. The release date is Friday, July 11, and we already know its update size.
Surprisingly, the upcoming Marvel Rivals update isn’t huge. However, since it brings a new season, it will likely require a complete reinstallation of the game, which might take a long time.
What is the update size of Marvel Rivals Season 3?
Season 3 of Marvel Rivals weighs only 1.2 gigabytes, according to X0XLeak, one of the most reputable leakers. Considering that every platform will get the same content, we expect the patch size to be more or less the same on both consoles and PC. However, certain systems may get specific bug fixes, which is why the size may slightly vary.
The new season will bring Phoenix, a new Duelist, as well as a new map. On top of this, NetEase will release numerous buffs and nerfs that will affect more than half of the hero roster. The new Battle Pass will bring 10 new skins and many other rewards, including valuable currencies such as Lattice and Units.
The next Marvel Rivals update is expected to come out at 9 AM UTC on Friday. However, it’s important to note that the game won’t be playable right away. Instead, NetEase will have a scheduled downtime to ensure that the launch of the new season goes smoothly. The duration of the downtime is currently unknown, but we expect it to last at least two hours.
