Marvel Rivals brings back several rare skins after almost a year

NetEase has just reopened the vault for some of the rarest skins in Marvel Rivals. While the game’s first-anniversary celebration recently wrapped up, the latest update is even more significant for collectors. It brought back some of the rarest skins in the game, to the delight of many fans.

In February 2025, Marvel Rivals celebrated Valentine’s Day with a Fantastic Love event, bringing several new cosmetics. Most of these cosmetics were vaulted for almost a year, before NetEase brought them back on Friday, December 19. If you didn’t play the hero shooter in early 2025, you can finally get these cosmetics. However, they are only available for a limited time.

The return of the “Lion” duo in Marvel Rivals

The latest Marvel Rivals update was released on Thursday, December 18, and it brought a new event and cosmetics. Shortly after the update went live, NetEase re-released some of the rarest skins in the game, including those that were last available for Valentine’s Day in 2025.

While most of the skins were previously available in June 2025, such as Captain America’s Galactic Talon, costumes for Iron Fist and Black Widow were vaulted for much longer.

Iron Fist’s Lion’s Gaze and Black Widow’s Lion’s Heartbeat costumes were vaulted for ten months, making them some of the rarest skins in the game. For many players, this is the first opportunity to grab these skins, as they are available for two weeks.

Considering that these skins were vaulted for so long, there is no way of telling when they will return once they leave the shop. Fortunately, they are available until January 2, 2026, so you can grab them while enjoying the winter event. NetEase will soon release even more free Units, so keep an eye out for the Times Square map on December 24.
