The release of Marvel Rivals Season 2 is around the corner! NetEase will push the new season out on Friday morning, bringing tons of new content. While the seasonal hype is at an all-time high, as the community is waiting for Emma Frost, there is one downside to the release. NetEase will have an extended downtime for Marvel Rivals, taking the game offline for a few hours.

The game developer has revealed some details about the downtime, giving heads up to the community. With the Marvel Rivals Season 2 start time less than a day away, here’s all you need to know about the upcoming server downtime.

How long will the Marvel Rivals Season 2 server downtime last?

NetEase recently revealed that the upcoming update will require extended server maintenance. Due to this, Marvel Rivals will go offline for a couple of hours on Friday morning, right after Season 2 comes out. According to the game developer, no one will be able to access the game during this period, as servers will be offline.

The Marvel Rivals downtime will last for two to three hours, its creator revealed. It will begin at 2 AM Pacific Daylight Time (9 AM UTC) and should end by 5 AM PDT. However, NetEase explained that server return times depend on the progress of maintenance, so the downtime could extend longer than initially anticipated.

With the new season launching soon, be sure to claim two free skins before they expire. Additionally, all other seasonal rewards, like Competitive crests, will no longer be available once Season 1.5 ends, giving you less than 24 hours to unlock them.

Since the upcoming Marvel Rivals content drop is going to be massive, you will need to update your client. Fortunately, you can start the download during the server downtime, giving you plenty of time to install the new patch.
