Marvel Rivals has finally added a new Lord icon for an existing hero. To be more specific, you can now get an additional Lord avatar with Loki’s new skin, which is something players have requested for a long time. The latest update came out on Thursday, January 8, and brought this new feature.

Considering that Lady Loki is a Legendary skin, this makes sense. Still, it’s a pleasant surprise that NetEase has listened to the community, and we will see if more Legendary skins will get this treatment in the future.

Lady Loki now comes with a custom Lord icon in Marvel Rivals

Ever since the hero shooter came out, many players have wanted to see custom avatars. After all, Legendary skins come with so many drastic changes that having a different avatar for them would be the least of the worries.

Despite this highly requested feature, NetEase took 13 months to finally add a different avatar into Marvel Rivals. Next time you equip a Lady Loki skin, you will have a new Lord icon as well, granted that you’ve achieved this level of proficiency.

Considering that Lady Loki costs 2,400 Units, this is a great deal. After all, buying this skin will make it seem like you’re using a different hero, not a different costume. The skin not only has a different design but a different voice actor as well, which makes it very valuable.

It will be interesting to see if NetEase will add custom avatars for other Legendary skins in the future. This feature would certainly improve sales of skins, and there is no doubt that it would be really cool. However, the game developer hasn’t revealed anything about it yet, so even if this happens, it likely won’t be soon.
