Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has announced that Super Mario Galaxy will be released across the Americas on November 12, 2007.
The announcement was made during Nintendo’s pre-E3 press conference and came as a relief to many a Nintendo fan desperate to get their hands on the follow-up to Super Mario Sunshine, a title release six years ago on the GameCube.
Rather unsurprisingly, European gamers are once again left in the dark, with no mention as to when the game will be arriving across the continent. Given Nintendo’s poor track record of simultaneous worldwide releases, it could mean Mario Galaxy won’t appear in European stores until early in 2008.
However, we’re still hopeful that Nintendo will manage to get the game out in Europe in time for Christmas.
