Maneater Apex Edition is getting a physical release, which bundles the base game with the D.L.C. And it’s out on September 30th, this year.

The DLC is the Truth Quest, from last year, which introduced a new island to the game. Check  out the trailer for that below:

The description reads:

“Maneater: Truth Quest continues where the story left off following the thrilling conclusion in Maneater, the original award-winning Action-RPG (shARkPG) where you play as a shark.”

There isn’t yet any info on what this physical edition will include. Hopefully, it will arrive loaded with teeth and shark eggs. Or possibly one of those stick-on fins that you can wear and freak people out by swimming near them. Classic stuff.

Maneater was a good game, if you like murdering tourists as a shark. And who wouldn’t like that? In VideoGamer’s review, I said:

“The irony is that its strength—the freedom to roam and ravage to your heart’s content—is also its shortfall. The trouble with a premise of such cruel purity, when twined to an open-world template and cluttered with side quests, is that the game comes adrift before it ends. It’s only around ten hours long, but I had my fill after five or six.”
