Mafia developer Hangar 13 has announced an exciting new entry in its popular action-adventure series, The Old Country. Though details remain scarce on the upcoming game, studio President Nick Baynes revealed that it would take place in 1900s Sicily. “We’re going back to the roots of what fans love about the Mafia franchise, crafting a deep, linear narrative with that classic mob movie feeling, visiting a stunning new setting, and delivering it all in a tight, focused package perfect for fans of immersive experiences,” he added.

Although the latest trailer didn’t include much, the dev team revealed that more information will be coming in December 2024, with its subsequent launch in 2025. It’s also worth pointing out that the game will only be available on current-gen consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam). So, if you haven’t upgraded yet, now may be the time to do so.

Coincidentally, 2K Games placed all Mafia games on sale on Steam ahead of The Old Country’s announcement. So, if you haven’t played the original trilogy yet, you can get them at heavily discounted prices, with the entire Mafia Trilogy priced at an incredibly low $14.99. If you want to purchase them individually, Mafia: Definitive Edition costs only $7.99, while Mafia II and Mafia III: Definitive Editions cost $7.49.

However, remember that this deal ends on September 2, so you’ll need to act fast if you want it as part of your backlog. While you wait for Mafia: The Old Country to launch, why not check out the short but exciting snippet Hangar 13 provided below?
