Roughly around 12PM EST yesterday, Madden released its first patch for their latest edition of their franchise. Fans have been anticipating an update for Madden 23 since its release on August 19th. It was just a matter of when and how extensive it would be.

In this first patch (though be it small), the EA Madden Team addressed a variety of key issues worth keeping an eye out for. The team noted in their statement that this was the first of a handful of improvements that will be coming to their new game. In addition, they also made it clear that gamers can expect more updates to arrive come the start of the regular season.

This year, the regular season commences on Thursday, September 8th with the main slate of games taking place on Sunday, September 11th. So with that in mind, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for any new updates over the course of that first full week of September.

Without further delay, let’s see what Madden 23 added in their first update to improve their game.

Madden 23: Update 1.02

If you haven’t completed the update for Madden 23, which is available for next-gen and last-gen consoles, it won’t take long to download and will fix the following issues that gamers were dealing with previously, per the EA Madden Team:

  1. Tuning to pass block locomotion for tackles to get deeper against edge pressure.
  2. Improved end game flow.
  3. Tuning and stability fixes.

Though it’s a small update, the Madden 23 developers did focus on improving the stability and performance strength of their new game. That said, this is only the beginning of what’s expected to be released and be prepared for bigger updates that address a variety of key gripes fans have formed over the first two weeks since launch.
