Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have released a new extended story trailer for Lost Judgment ahead of the game’s launch next month.

The latest footage takes a much more serious turn than our recent peeks at the game. It focuses on the drama at the heart of Takayuki Yagami’s newest case as a corpse is discovered in an abandoned building in Yokohama. There’ll be twists galore as a conspiracy between several factions taking advantage of a broken law system is revealed.

Tak’s journey will eventually lead him to Yakuza: Like a Dragon‘s Ijincho district alongside his partner Kaito. Eventually, it appears he might have to decide between two choices. Uphold the law in a potentially broken system or re-enact his own form of justice outside of the law?

In related news, there’s also been rumblings of a potential Lost Judgment demo. As reported by Push Square, a listing was spotted on Twitter that indicates such a demo was added to the Japanese and Asian PlayStation stores for PS4. We’ll have to wait and see if there’s an official announcement and if it comes to the West.
