According to Variety, the movie studio Lionsgate has secured the rights to produce a film based on Io Interactive’s upcoming action title Kane & Lynch. Variety states that Daniel Alter and Adrian Askarieh are to produce.
There’s no word on a director or for that matter who will star in the movie, but presumably it will follow along the same lines as the video game. It tells the story of Kane & Lynch, a mercenary and a psychopath, who find themselves working together after being busted out of death row.
The game is shaping up really well and is expected to arrive later this year for Xbox 360 and PC.
