Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth is the next Yakuza entry that’s set to be launched and the latest hilarious trailer features lovable protagonist Ichiban Kasuga flashing a bunch of innocent beachgoers. Alas, a closer look at the gameplay hasn’t been provided yet as the game is apparently set for release at some point in early 2024. If it’s anything close to Yakuza Like a Dragon, however, then we should probably expect more street-based combat with a bunch of absurd side quests.

According to the preview, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth will be available on current generation Xbox consoles as well as PC systems. Unfortunately, its availability on PlayStation and other platforms is still yet to be determined as the preview did not reveal its compatibility with other systems. It’s worth noting, though, that past installments in the Sega series have largely been available on Sony’s gaming system and this’ll most likely remain the case moving forward.

It has also been confirmed that Infinite Wealth will be the eighth main line series installment, meaning that it is a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which was released in 2020. With this in mind, the turn-based combat that was present in the previous entry will likely be retained once again, though, this is still merely speculation as the developers haven’t confirmed anything yet at the time of writing.

But with the game’s released being slated for the first half of 2024, we may not have to wait too long for more details as Sega will surely be ramping up their marketing efforts for this installment soon. While you wait for more information to drop, be sure to check out the hilarious trailer for yourself so you can see Ichiban Kasuga in action. We also recommend looking through some of the show’s other highlights including Starfield’s overhauled combat system and reveal of Star Wars Outlaws.
