Warner Bros and TT Games have released a new video going behind the scenes of the upcoming Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

This game will take a much more open-world approach to previous Lego Star Wars games. You’ll be able to explore the most famous planets from across the nine-movie saga, such as Tatooine, Naboo, Endor and the Cloud City of Bespin. Players will be able to explore these planets and find plenty to do off the main quest, including secrets and sub missions.

They’re the best renditions of these locations in a Lego game yet, thanks in no small part to the increased power of modern hardware. Figures will build up dust and debris (or, of course, sand) as they explore, and players will be able to nab Kyber bricks as they go. They can then use these Kyber Bricks as a currency to upgrade Force powers or increase firepower.

In addition to the hundreds of characters from the movies (and the recently announced DLC ones) there’s also some game-exclusive characters the devs have created.  They include Mama the Hutt,  Yaddle (Yoda with hair) and the diminutive Baboo Frick. The development team were clearly having lots of fun making these new Lego Star Wars characters up, as you can see from the video below.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will arrive on April 5 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nitnendo Switch and PC.
