Marvel Rivals has kept fans on the edge of their seats with dramatic 6v6 superhero combat and seasonal upgrades that continually provide new features, characters, and cosmetics. Season 2.5 featured Ultron as a playable Strategist, as well as new team-up abilities and maps, demonstrating NetEase Games’ ability to evolve gameplay.

The community is now buzzing with anticipation as the Battle Pass countdown approaches Season 3’s release date. Dataminers have leaked symbiote-themed skins for characters such as Captain America, Storm, Moon Knight, and Rocket Raccoon. These inky-black graphics, hinted at in spoken lines like Cap’s “Captain Klyntar” emote, promise to combine breathtaking looks with high-octane combat. The possibility of Knull, the Symbiote god, as Season 3’s nemesis suggests a darker narrative arc, while monthly hero drops, potentially including Phoenix and Captain Marvel, are planned to extend the roster.

However, one of the latest leaks hints at a game-changing feature in Season 3, which might redefine team strategies, as well as new characters, who will offer unique team-ups to Marvel Rivals’ ever-changing battlefield.

Marvel Rivals Season 3 will bring heroes with a new anti-healing ability feature

Marvel Rivals leakers like PsylockeGG have revealed that some characters have voice lines in the datamined files regarding a new mechanic called Anti-Heal. The lines consist of heroes such as Captain America and The Thing saying, “Not healin’ for some reason”, and “My health ain’t comin’ back.”

These leaks point toward a new character that will be introduced in the game and will consist of an Anti-Heal kit in Season 3. The same leak also consists of another feature called “On Fire” which will be introduced alongside Anti-Heal.

Furthermore, leakers like Miller Ross have pointed out in a recent live stream that Season 3 heroes will be “visually exciting and very bombastic”, while his jaw dropped looking at the confirmed roster. He also revealed that Season 3 will have the same amount of content as Season 2, but it will be more hyped than any other Rivals season. When asked about class distribution in the season, Miller said, “No hard rule, but they want to keep it a healthy mix and are incentivized to do so.”
