Speaking to VentureBeat Kareem Ettouney, art director on LittleBigPlanet and co-founder of development studio Media Molecule, has said that he believes the game can help people get jobs in the industry.
“I think this game can definitely help people get jobs in the industry. Imagine a guy going into a job with five levels of LittleBigPlanet and you get to play his creation,” he said during an interview about the upcoming game.
Ettouney believes that level designers using the game will build up a following where users want to see what new creations these people have made.
“… imagine what that guy has already done within that world in terms of building up an audience,” he said. “People know his levels and know his name. They want to see his new creation. Future game creators will enter a job interview already known. We hope LittleBigPlanet plays a part in getting new game developers jobs and also making them stars.”
LittleBigPlanet is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 on October 24. Look out for our review as the release date approaches.
