EA Sports has revealed Stories for FUT Icons in a new trailer for FIFA 18. Stories expands the Icons experience, giving players the chance to play as a footballing legend at three different stages of their career. As part of this reveal, EA Sports also announced that the legend that’s Ronaldinho will also be joining the Icon lineup. Ronaldinho joins a long list of icons such as Pele, Ronaldo Nazario (the real Ronaldo), Thierry Henry, Diego Maradona and many more. Time to put on your chufty badge.
Stories gives players the opportunity to play as a legend at three pivotal points in their career. Ronaldinho’s story begins in 2002 when he played for Paris St. Germain on his way to winning the 2002 FIFA World Cup for Brazil. That’s the one where he embarrassed David Seaman. The end-point is in 2010, when Ronaldinho of dwindling powers led AC Milan team to the Serie A title in his final season at the club; and there’s prime Ronaldinho from 2004, when he dominated La Liga, and won FIFA World Player of the Year. He also did this.
Each Icons story also features different ratings for the players at each stage of their three point career, so players can discover variations for each legendary player and build a squad of their dreams, like the impeccable Manchester United team of 1998/99. With multiple Icons Stories at various positions all across the pitch, players will be able to create some genuinely historic squads featuring some of the greatest of all time.
