Konami of Europe has today announced the development of Crime Life: Gang Wars. The game is a free roaming crime based beat ’em up that mixes action and strategy with an urban gang warfare storyline.

We don’t nescessarily think that gang warfare makes for the best games, but a number of games have gone down the urban lifestyle route recently and had a great deal of success. In ‘Crime Life’ reputation is everything, so you must battle for street supremacy. It all sounds very GTA: San Andreas, but without the vehicles, however, the early screen shots do show an impressive looking game engine.

We wont know for sure how the game plays until E3, where we will hopefully bring you some more details on the game. Crime Life: Gang Wars is scheduled for release at sometime in 2005 for PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. For more information you can check out the games official website.
