The first titles to emerge from Konami’s publishing agreement with Hudson Soft will be Fishing Master and Sports Island, scheduled to arrive across Europe in Q1 and Q2 2008 respectively.

In Fishing Master players will use the Wii Remote and Nunchuck to simulate the actions of a real fisherman. Use the Wii Remote to cast the line, aiming for the silhouettes of fish on the lake. Once you have a bite it’s over to the Nunchuck to reel in the catch by rotating the analogue stick.

Beginners can get the hang of things thanks to a tutorial and then set off around the world in an attempt to catch rare fish and receive the esteemed Fishing Master award. Catch every species in the game to complete a Fish Encyclopaedia. There’s also a four-player mode where players compete simultaneously with the goal to catch the biggest fish.

Set for release later in the year is Sports Island, bringing together ten sporting events and unique Wii controls. Players can take part in Adidas-endorsed versions of Beach Volleyball, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Curling, Figure Skating, Archery, Moto Cross, Snowboarding and Kart Race. Each sport features fun and accessible controls, such as swinging the Remote to hit the volleyball and subtle twists to ride the slopes on a snowboard.

Each event allows up to four players to compete and have been designed so that players of all skill levels and ages can have fun competing.
