The Knuckles cast list has finally been announced ahead of the live-action spinoff’s release on Paramount+. Aside from the iconic Idris Elba as the voice of the main character, it has been revealed that Adam Pally and Tika Sumpter will be reprising their roles in the TV series as Wade Whipple and Maddie Wachowski respectively.

Since its initial announcement in February 2022, the show has steadily started to gain steam ahead of its launch date thanks to the success of the Blue Blur’s film series. With the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 release date having been revealed as well, fans of the speedster’s franchise have plenty to look forward to in the next few months.

In addition to the aforementioned stars making their appearances in the show, other actors that are slated for their own roles within the series include hip-hop artist Kid Cudi, Edi Patterson, Ellie Taylor, and Julian Barratt. Rory McCann, better know as Sandor “The Hound” Clegane from Game of Thrones, will also be guest starring in the series. These aren’t the only names that’ll be making up the Knuckles cast list as more will surely be announced as we get closer to the release date.

Jeff Fowler, the director for both Sonic the Hedgehog films, will once again take the reins for the pilot episode. He, along with Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, and Toru Nakahara from the movie’s creative teams, have also been named the executive producers for the entire series.

Based on a short synopsis of the upcoming spinoff, the series will seemingly take place between the events of the second and third Sonic the Hedgehog movie. It will also apparently revolve around Knuckles agreeing to train Wade Whipple as his protégé, indicating that the show will be a lighthearted affair that should appeal to audiences of all ages.
