A Kingdom Come Deliverance “Remaster” is reportedly coming to current-gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, in February 2026. This is according to Reddit user bertik11, communicating through the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit.
Although the OP refers to the upcoming release as a “remaster,” they claim that it will ultimately be a port of the PC version to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. This suggests that it’s more of an upgrade, as “It won’t bring anything groundbreaking or entirely new”.
Kingdom Come Deliverance was released in February 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, two years before the launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2020. Some of the upgrades for the PC version over PS4 and Xbox One include superior graphics, stable 60 FPS, and quicker loading times.
Although not stated by the leaker, it’s possible this “remaster” could be a free upgrade for existing owners of the game, similar to the Red Dead Redemption remaster released on December 2.
February 2026 will mark the eighth anniversary of the Kingdom Come Deliverance series. It’s a first-person RPG set in 1403, with you stepping into the shoes of protagonist Henry as he transforms from the son of a blacksmith into a skilled warrior.
There was also the release of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 in February 2025, a fantastic sequel nominated for many Game of the Year accolades, and it is included in the BAFTA Game Awards 2026 GOTY longlist.
Besides rumors of a Kingdom Come Deliverance remaster, there are many other exciting games to anticipate in early 2026. Leaks suggest an unannounced remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag will release before the end of March, and there’s the confirmed release of Resident Evil Requiem for February 27.
