A lightsaber peripheral, said to be compatible with Kinect Star Wars for Xbox 360, has been spotted on two German retailer websites. Both Amazon.de and promediamax list the peripheral as due for release on November 17.

It’s not clear if this is an official product (but it seems unlikely), and may well be something similar to the Kinect steering wheel spotted a few months back. The wheel is reportedly made of translucent material, so Kinect could still pick up hand movements.

At gamescom we tested out Kinect Star Wars’ new Rancor gameplay sequence, which puts you into the role of the massive beast.
