Killer Instinct is out now for Xbox One, but the game is currently limited to a roster of just six characters.
A launch trailer has confirmed that the seventh character, Spinal will be available in January, with the eighth and final Season One character, Fulgore, coming in March.
All eight characters can be purchased for a fee of £16, or players can choose individual characters for £4 each.
A free version of the game currently offers Jago as the only playable character, but the idea is for this character to be rotated over the coming months.
