Mass Effect 3 has been completed by less than half of players who started it, BioWare has revealed.

BioWare released the stat at GDC Europe (reported by Eurogamer). 42 per cent of players saw Mass Effect 3 through to the end, compared to the 56 per cent who completed Mass Effect 2.

Fernando Melo, BioWare’s online development director, revealed that Mass Effect 2’s completion numbers rose this year as players prepared for the series’ third entry.

Mass Effect 3’s completion rate is still higher than other BioWare titles. Dragon Age: Origins was only completed by 36 per cent of gamers, while 41 per cent completed the game’s sequel, and only 40 per cent of players completed the original Mass Effect.
