Journey will not be released until 2012, according to a recent blog post by thatgamecompany’s Jenova Chen.
He explains: “Like all our games, Journey is an experiment. In the end, it’s what you think that matters. We are happy to announce Journey will be released spring 2012, so you can experience the adventure for yourself.”
The game is currently in beta, and the studio is continuing playtests, however Chen states there is still “care and polish needed”.
Journey follows a robed figure on a journey across a vast desert, heading towards a mountain looming in the distance. The game entered private beta earlier in the year.
